Cheaper isn't always better........

Matt GComment

Recently, we have received a number of people asking us about the extremely cheap cell-phone plans, like Republic Wireless or Virgin Mobile.  Many people today now gravitate toward the lowest cost providers looking to save an extreme amount of money.  Although you can save a significant amount of money, the question is "what are you sacrificing in exchange for the "cheap service"?.  One customer came to us and said her phone service was really bad, but the phone was working fine.  We investigated and found out that the phone and service was sold by Republic Wireless and thus could not be re-sold or exchanged with the company.  Not only that, she couldn't even transfer her number to another service provider for 3 days.  The good news is she now uses Page Plus and has a phone that can be transferred at any time and fantastic reception and service.  The lesson to learn is that you can and should look for discounted phone service providers, since the big service providers will always be more expensive.  However, you don't need to compromise on service.  They key question to ask is "does the service provider allow you to Bring Your Own Phone".  There are many options today (like Page Plus and NET10) that allow you to save up to $1,000 per year.  Just make sure you spend the time researching before you sign up.  If you would like more info on how to start saving money and have questions about options, call Indy Money Saver at 317-782-5221 or visit our website at www.indymoneysaver.com.
